Sharlotte Letsoara – Faithful Survivor

This week, we draw our inspiration from Ms Sharlotte Letsoara from Bothaville, Free State. An Auxiliary nurse who dispite her disability managed to make it in life and continues to make a different in other people's loves.

My name is Sharlotte Letsoara and I am 28years old. I was born in a small town called Bothaville but due to certain situations I grow up in Ladybrand where I attended my primary school and early high school till my grade 9. After my Grandmother's passing I went bck home to stay with my mother again until I finished my Matric year 2008

What were the challenges and great things about growing up?

The most challenging things that I faced was not living wit both my parents because they were divorced when I was only 4 years old, so if people asked me questions about my family I couldn’t really answer. The other thing was trying to fit in though I have a disability and it was bad because I was bullied by people I thought were my friends, but my mother was my strength and believing in God also helped me to face my challenges.

Your career? What is it that you do? What inspired you to do what you do?

Currently I am a qualified Auxiliary nurse by profession and I work as a nurse. I take care of sick patients and help mothers that gives birth and help them with taking care of their beautiful angels. Usually when I bath the babies I pray for them and ask God to protect them where ever they go. What hurt me most is when the mother losses their child or give birth to stillborn children it hurt me most but it’s my lob to give them hope. And I also opened a business with my partner where we work with things like construction and motivation even though it is not active but its functioning. Mostly I love motivating young children between the age of 16 -22 to give them hope for their future.

What do you like most about yourself and the work that you do?

What I love most about myself is that I am a strong believer in God and I always stand my grounds and I never give up on my dreams. What I like the most about the work that I do is the fact that I get to save lives and put a smile a new mother’s face

What are some of the challenges which you’ve faced and how did you overcome them?

2014 I lost the love of my life which was my Mother and it was a very hurting bt God has alwys being my strength and my brother has being my piller always. Most recently one I was involved in a car accident and I thnk God for saving my life I really really dont hv a scratch and for that il forever be grateful. I wont lie it hurts to loose things that u valued but if u believe that betterthe days are coming and believe in God you will overcome everything.

What are some of your life highlights for you so far? What are you most proud of?

Highlights of my life were firstly receiving my licence especially knowing that my left arm is disabled, I never thought I would drive but I today I am a licensed driver. And also buying my first car mist of the challenges that I went through. Having a new member of the family my niece it was beautiful.

Where would you like to see yourself in the next three years?

Finishing my degree in nursing and graduating. Traveling the world doing what I love which is giving people hope for their future.

If there was anything you could do differently, what would it be?

It would be serving God from the beginning and being loyal to Him because He is the truth and the life.
