The National Gambling Board invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the following internship opportunities.National Gambling Board is responsible for the oversight of the regulation in the gambling industry throughout the country and to preserve the integrity of South Africa as a responsible global citizen

Intern Compliance Oversight (Reference: NGB 02/2016)

To assist in co-ordination and administration of Compliance Oversight and Limited Payout Machines Evaluations. Assist in the monitoring of National Central Electronic Monitoring System (NCEMS) in terms of the National Gambling Act of 2004.

Intern Enforcement (Reference: NGB 03/2016)

Assist with the enforcement of the National Gambling Act 7 /2004 with the focus on combatting and suppression of illegal gambling activities and to ensure that conduct of consumers in the gambling industry is consistent with the requirements of the gambling laws.

Intern Corporate Governance (Reference: NGB 04/2016)

Assist in ensuring the efficient functioning of the Corporate Governance Division within the NGB by providing support to preparation of unlawful winnings cases for the adjudication committee, as well as legal services support, research, drafting and compiling of reports, policy review, governance and risk management.

Requirements

  • Compliance Oversight – Three year National Diploma or Degree in Law/Auditing/Public Administration.
  • Enforcement – Three year National Diploma or Degree in Policing/Law or in Forensic Investigations.
  • Corporate Governance  – A Law Degree is required.
  • No work experience is required.
