The South African Reserve Bank (the Bank), in collaboration with one of its subsidiaries, namely the South African Bank Note Company (RF) Proprietary Limited (SABN), here referred to as the SARB Group, actively contributes to addressing the country’s skills shortage in the technical and engineering fields through its Work Integrated Learning Programme (WILP).

Detailed Description

Participants will be placed at the Bank’s Head Office in Pretoria and will be rotated to the SABN during the programme.

The programme will start in December 2015.

Participants will receive a work-based learning remuneration for the duration of their programme.

Job Requirements

The requirements for the groups are as follows:

Engineering: students from universities studying towards a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering who require practical or vocational work experience as a partial requirement to obtain their qualification.

The four-month learnership is spread over two years, where the learners complete the first two months while in their second year of study and the remaining two months while in their third year of study.
