Dept Of Mineral Resources Bursary/Scholarship Opportunity


Application is available for a full-time study bursary for girl learners in South Africa.

Mark appropriate blocks with an “X”.

Application forms not correctly and fully completed will prejudice the applicant’s chances of obtaining a bursary.

Please attach certified copies of ID document, grade 11 or 12 results indicating subjects and symbols on school letterhead).

Please complete section D as motivation for bursary and attach supporting documents, e.g. sworn affidavit.

Applicants with less than symbol B (Higher Grade) in Mathematics and Science will not be considered

Bursaries are only intended for girl learners from the rural areas as they are faced with limited opportunities, and to enhance transformation of the mining and mineral fields.

Please note the bursaries are dependent on the mining and mineral sector requirements.

It is your responsibility to apply for admission to any South African university and it is also recommended that you forward your application to at least two universities.

Bursaries will be allocated for the year following the one in which the application is received.

Closing date for applications is 30 October 2015
