FICA Officers at the Post Office (4 Positions)


The SA Post Office is looking for 4 FICA Officers to join the Risk and Compliance team at Postbank in Bloemfontein.


Responsible for the Quality and Assurance on all the new application forms and account opening documents received in Postbank. Ensure that all accounts which do not comply with the FICA requirements are blocked, and make follow-ups of outstanding documents from the Post Offices Branches. Identify non-compliance branches and compile a PONC report. Ensure that exceptional cases are reported daily. Activate dormant accounts as per customer request

Key Responsibilities

Do Quality Assurance on all account-opening and FICA related documents • Block non-compliant accounts on Flexcube system and send sms’s to clients to inform them on the status of their accounts • Send queries to the Branches • Compile weekly report of all the Post Office Non Compliance (PONC) • Report exceptions to the Risk Management Officer • Ensure that all information captured on the relevant systems is populated correctly, and where necessary, updated to ensure accurate reporting • Ensure record keeping of documents and update statistics daily • Assist with general administrative duties in Risk & Compliance and adhere to high level of confidentiality


  • Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) and a minimum of 60 credits towards a NQF 5 qualification
  • Accountancy and/or Mathematics at Grade 12 level as subjects will be an added advantage
  • Minimum of 1-2 years in Branch banking or Postbank environment
  • Legislative compliance (FICA and FAIS)
  • Computer literate – (MS Office Suite)
  • Knowledge of Flexcube system / Postilion
