SARS seeks to enrol individuals in the Operations Contact Centre in Durban, KZN :
As at February 2003, the Contact Centre was launched to provide a dynamic and complete taxpayer service solution and has since grown to an 800 seat center, virtually enabled country wide across Durban, Bellville, Alberton and Doringkloof.
The division aims to provide Effective and Efficient Contact Centre Operations through the quality execution of operational deliverables aligned to the overall SARS service and compliance commitments
The Blended Solution was introduced in 2010 in an effort to fully optimize staff during non-peak periods by creating an outbound call workload. Contact Centre staff conducts outbound calls to remind taxpayers of their overdue debt and influence immediate payment of outstanding debt. The Contact Centre continues to operate on the Blended Principle to fully optimize resources.
The Learnership programme of SARS is a 24 months programme (fixed term) where you will be introduced to a broad spectrum of learning experience while developing generalist and specialist fields. At the end of the development programme, the learners who successfully meet SARS’s recruitment requirements will be considered for permanent appointment.
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric with Mathematics or
- Equivalent Certificate in Accounting or
- Financial Management or
- Taxation or
- Customer Service
- Must be a South African Citizen
- No formal/permanent employment
- Currently not participating in Learnership
